Ohio Concealed Handgun Classes (CCW) and NRA Instructors Classes, Columbus Ohio

This NRA Basic Pistol course is designed to provide Ohio residents the training required to apply for an Ohio Concealed Carry License with a NRA competency certification in Basic Pistol. This Ohio License allows individuals to lawfully carry a concealed firearm in the State of Ohio. You will receive 10+ hours of classroom instruction developing the proper knowledge, skills and attitude to safely handle a firearm; meeting Ohio's requirements for obtaining an Ohio Concealed Carry License. Instruction will cover safe gun handling, cleaning and storage of handguns, knowledge of ammunition, proper loading and unloading procedures parts of a handgun, safe gun handling fundamentals and a review of the Ohio Attorney General�s Concealed Carry Law Booklet.
You will also receive 2+ hours of live firing range instruction at the Powder Room in Powell, OH that includes safe & proper use of a handgun, safely loading, unloading and firing a handgun. There is a written NRA examination administered at the end of the course. NRA Classes are recognized throughout the United States and many foreign countries as the standard for basic marksmanship training. Class sizes range from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 20.
All our classes are taught by certified NRA Instructors and NRA appointed Training Counselors.

| NRA Instructor Rifle Course
Next Class Fall 2010
You will learn to teach this course: at least 14 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA�s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate. |

NRA Range Safety Officer Class

8am to 6pm
$125.00
NRA Range Safety Officers must be 21 years of age or older. The Range Safety Officer course consists of: Range Safety Officer’s roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and range rules, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, and Range Safety Briefings which include emergency procedures. Candidates must also receive 90 percent or better on the written exam.
