NRA Basic Pistol Instructor Certification meets Ohio's requirements for teaching the required
class to apply for the CHL - Concealed Handgun License.

All Classes include membership in the NRA, first year NRA Instructor Fees for 3 certifications, Comntinetal Breakfast and Lunches no additional cost to you.
You must pre-register for all classes and make a $100.00 deposit.
Balance due on first night of class $ 295.00. Total class fee is $395.00 Which includes NRA Instructor Fees approximately $30-$50,
Lunches (City Barbeque), NRA Membership.
| PRO-Training holds a NRA Instructor Training Course at 4292Indianola Ave., Columbus, Ohio 4 times per year for Basic Pistol, Personal Protection in the Home, Home Firearm Safety and once per year for Basic Rifle. The instructor class is scheduled over 1 Friday evening and 2 days; all day Saturday and Sunday. Just bring your positive attitude, we will supply all the materials and food.

Cost of the NRA Instructor Training Class is $375.00. Tuition covers all instructor materials handouts, first year NRA Certification and Processing Fees, continental breakfast and lunches. All Classes include membership in the NRA, no additional cost to you. If you are already a member of the NRA we will add a 1 year renewal to your membership. Class types: Instructor Training, in the following areas Basic Pistol (Required to Teach Ohio's Concealed Carry Training Classes), First Steps Pistol, Home Firearm Safety, Personal Protection In the Home. Basic Instructor Training is taught on Friday night and finishes on Saturday Morning.

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ To qualify as an NRA instructor, you must:
Possess and demonstrate a solid background in firearm safety and shooting skills acquired through previous firearm training (such as completion of an NRA Basic Firearm Training Course) and/or previous shooting experience.
Successfully complete the appropriate NRA instructor examination. Certified—90% or higher. Assistant—85% or higher. Apprentice—85% or higher
Satisfactorily complete an NRA Instructor Training Course for the area of specialization you wish to teach (e.g., NRA Basic Shotgun Course), and receive the endorsement of the NRA Training Counselor conducting your training.
Submit your application with appropriate certification fee. Membership in the National Rifle Association is strongly recommended.
Certified Ratings are available to individuals who wish to be fully qualified to conduct basic courses (21 years of age or older).
Assistant Ratings are available to individuals who wish to assist certified instructors in order to gain the knowledge and experience needed to become a certified instructor (18 years of age or older).
Apprentice Ratings are available to young people who wish to understudy a certified instructor in preparation for more advanced ratings. The apprentice instructor will be chosen by an NRA Certified Instructor from select individuals. These individuals must be of the emotional maturity necessary to handle such a position. In addition, they must have attended and successfully completed an NRA Basic Firearm Training Course in their chosen area of specialization (13-17 years of age).
