From Wayne LaPierre

NRA

I've just returned from the border between the United States and Mexico and I've never witnessed anything like the stinking, rotten level of murder, corruption, cover-up, and conspiracy confronting us today.

This conspiracy ignited two years ago when U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder claimed that your Second Amendment rights are to blame for the drug crimes and killings in Mexico.

Holder and other top-level Obama Administration figures -- even the President himself -- claimed that 90% of the guns used by violent drug cartels were coming from American gun dealers.

In short, they blamed our Second Amendment rights for the violence of the Mexican drug cartels.

But leaked U.S. State Department cables have exposed this as a bald-faced LIE.

These Obama Administration cables proved beyond a shadow of a doubt what the Mexican government already knew: That the drug cartels were getting guns -- along with fully-automatic weapons, grenade launchers, anti-personnel mines and other military hardware -- through Central America, NOT THE U.S.

While these leaked cables exposed the lies propping up Obama's gun control agenda, administration officials at the highest levels pushed a strategy to fit their gun control aims.

In a display of corruption and arrogance that's shocking even for this Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) launched Operation "Fast and Furious" -- an illegal pipeline for shipping guns into Mexico.

With our government's full knowledge and complicity, BATFE higher-ups ordered firearms dealers to sell these guns illegally to straw purchasers. And it wasn't just a few guns... It was over two thousand!!!

At the time, BATFE agents protested the insanity of Operation Fast and Furious, and the sheer stupidity of letting thousands of illegally purchased guns just walk over the border into the hands of criminals.

But BATFE supervisors pushed back saying, "if you want to make an omelet, you have to break some eggs."

One of those "eggs" broke on the night of December 14, 2010.

That night, 40-year old Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was in a remote Arizona canyon with a six-member tactical team that encountered a group of armed Mexican illegals.

Sources said that the "illegal entrants" were in Arizona to rob cartel drug mules and other illegals. In the initial skirmish, the Border Patrol agents fired low-velocity shotgun beanbag rounds and were met with 7.62x39mm return fire.

Officer Terry died in the exchange. And when the bandits fled, they left behind two AK-style rifles that were traced to sales made under the Fast and Furious operation.

Senator Charles Grassley (IA) and Representative Darrell Issa (CA) are defending our Second Amendment rights and fighting for justice for Agent Terry by holding Congressional hearings on Fast and Furious.

But they're being stonewalled by Obama, Holder and others who are bent on sweeping the truth under the rug.

They are withholding government documents that say exactly who ordered the operations. Government e-mails warn witnesses not to cooperate. Congressional subpoenas are being ignored.

If you want to help NRA protect our Right to Keep and Bear Arms, our freedoms and our country from corrupt government officials, then I need you to take action today.

That's why I'm counting on you to sign NRA's National Petition to Fire Eric HolderIt will only take a moment, but your signature on this petition is absolutely critical. You can sign the petition by clicking here now.

When Attorney General Holder was questioned by Senator Charles Grassley about how guns that were allowed to "walk" out of gun shops during Operation Fast and Furious ended up at a U.S. Border Patrol Agent's murder scene, Holder said, "I frankly don't know."

That one statement from our nation's top law-enforcement official cuts right to the heart of the matter and proves that Holder is either covering up for Obama, his failed gun control schemes, and the crimes committed, or he's incompetent.

Either way, he can't be trusted with the powers of Attorney General, the law enforcement agencies he commands, the sanctity of the Second Amendment, or the lives of Federal agents.

That's why NRA is launching a nationwide campaign to gather hundreds of thousands of signatures on this Petition to Fire Eric Holder, one of Obama's chief architects for his gun ban agenda.

We must act now because the Obama Administration and Holder have crossed the line.

If the Obama Administration is willing to endanger Americans by attacking our Second Amendment liberties, there's no limit to their arrogance and willingness to abuse power to achieve political gain, and they must be stopped.

Thank you for doing your part by signing NRA's petition. As always, thank you for your friendship, your support and your words of encouragement. I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Yours in Liberty,
Wayne LaPierre
Executive Vice President

Matt Lundy is a liar: Democrat panders to gun owners in order to earn good grades and endorsements

Submitted by cbaus on Mon, 04/25/2011 - 07:00.

When Democrat Matt Lundy needed gun owners' votes, he knew exactly what they wanted to hear.

When asked about the two key components addressed in HB45/SB17 in Buckeye Firearms Association's 2010 candidate survey, Lundy told gun owners he was with them all the way.

Q15 - Complying with confusing and unnecessary car carry restrictions continue to be a serious problem for Concealed Handgun License holders. Will you support legislation that protects Ohio license holders and out-of-state visitors by removing these restrictions?

Lundy answered: "Yes."

Q16 - It is a felony to carry a firearm into restaurants and other locations that serve alcohol for consumption on premises. Will you support eliminating that restriction for Concealed Handgun License holders?

Lundy answered: "Yes. But only if the license holder is not consuming alcohol, intoxicated, or under the influence."

This is EXACTLY what legislation being considered in his chamber (HB45/SB17) would do, and EXACTLY why we asked the questions. Without those answers to those questions, Lundy (and many other legislators) would not have qualified for the "A" grade BFA gave him, let alone the endorsement that came along with it. And while we don't know the questions the NRA-PVF asked him, it's a safe bet he told a similar story, because he earned an "A-" grade and an endorsement from them as well.

The fact is, Matt Lundy gave gun owners his word that if they voted for him, he'd be with them when they needed his vote.

Sadly, it took just 36 days from the election for Lundy to expose the possibility that he had lied on his BFA candidate survey (and therefore to Ohio gun owners), and just three months to confirm it.

Just one month after his re-election last November, during the 128th General Assembly's lame duck session, Lundy and other House Representatives were asked to sign and vote for a discharge petition that would have forced a vote on that session's version of the Restaurant & Car Carry Rules Fix legislation (SB239). Despite his clear answers on the survey, Lundy voted no. But since even some Republicans had expressed concerns about the precedent set by implementing the rare procedural move, we couldn't be sure his vote meant that he had lied.

http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/publicfiles/graphics/Matt-Lundy-Ad.jpgTwo months later however, when the House committee he sits on began hearings on a newly-introduced version of the same legislation, Lundy revealed himself as a firm opponent to the very legislation he had committed in writing to support.

In committee, Lundy got extremely defensive when colleagues asked lobbyists who were testifying against the legislation to offer proof such laws were causing problems in other states. Hoping to address his concerns, Buckeye Firearms Association Chairman Jim Irvine called him repeatedly, and left messages asking that if he had any questions or concerns to call back. Lundy never returned the phone calls. When it came time for the committee to vote, he demonstrated his true anti-gun beliefs and introduced three poison pill amendments (all were defeated) including one that sought to make the names of concealed handgun license-holders public record.

While we desire to keep our survey results confidential so that candidates can feel comfortable providing honest answers, we will never provide cover for a candidate who tells us what we want to hear on our survey in order to earn a good grade, an endorsement, and most importantly gun owner's votes, only to break that agreement as soon as they get elected.

Therefore, Buckeye Firearms Association has made the decision to publish this article, issue a press release to hundreds of news outlets in Ohio, email thousands of pro-gun voters, and share these facts in a newspaper advertisement published this week in newspapers that cover his district, the Lorain Morning-Journal and the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram.

Whether a gun owner or not, all Ohioans deserve 100% honesty from candidates and elected officials on their positions. Pandering to a group for an endorsement, and then turning their back on that pledge, is something only the worst of the worst in politics will do. All Ohioans deserve better than Lundy gave.

If Matt Lundy will lie about one thing, how many more lies has he told, and just not (yet) been caught?

Text of Buckeye Firearms Association Press Release:

Buckeye Firearms Association Accuses Representative Matt Lundy of Lying to Get Endorsement

DELAWARE, OH - Buckeye Firearms Association has publicly accused Matt Lundy, Representative for Ohio House District 57, of lying to get their endorsement.

"He told us in no uncertain terms that he would support our bills," said Jim Irvine, Chairman of Buckeye Firearms Association. "Now that he's in office, he appears to be working against us. If that's not lying, I don't know what is."

Before endorsing any candidate, Buckeye Firearms Association researches each candidate to determine their position on gun issues and pending legislation. Part of that research is a detailed questionnaire asking direct, specific questions to find out exactly where a candidate stands and whether he or she plans to help when bills come up for a vote.

"Our intention is to keep survey results confidential," said Irvine, "so that candidates can feel comfortable providing honest answers. But we will never provide cover for a candidate who tells us what we want to hear on our survey to earn an endorsement and gun owners' votes, only to break that agreement after getting elected."

This week, Buckeye Firearms Association is running ads in The Morning-Journal and The Chronicle Telegram, newspapers serving Lundy's district. The ad reveals Lundy's answers on two key points related to HB45 / SB17, legislation to fix rules related to carrying a concealed handgun in restaurants and transporting a firearm in a vehicle.

Here is the complete text of the ad:

Ohio District 57 Representative Matt Lundy LIED!

When Democrat Matt Lundy needed gun owners' votes, he told them what they wanted to hear. But now in office, he is not honoring his promises.

On the Buckeye Firearms Association 2010 Candidate Survey, we asked him about two key components addressed in HB45/SB17 (pending car and restaurant carry legislation).

Lundy told gun owners he was with them all the way. Here is how he answered our specific questions:

Question 15 - Complying with confusing and unnecessary car carry restrictions continues to be a serious problem for Concealed Handgun License holders. Will you support legislation that protects Ohio license holders and out-of-state visitors by removing these restrictions?

Lundy answered, "Yes."

Question 16 - It is a felony to carry a firearm into restaurants and other locations that serve alcohol for consumption on premises. Will you support eliminating that restriction for concealed handgun license holders?

Lundy answered, "Yes. But only if the license holder is not consuming alcohol, intoxicated, or under the influence."

Without his "Yes" answers, Lundy would not have qualified for the "A" grade we gave him, let alone the endorsement that came with it.
Matt Lundy gave gun owners his word that if they voted for him, he would be with them when they needed his vote.

Now that we need his support on these issues, he is turning his back on us and the Ohio gun owners he represents.

Just one month after his re-election last November, Lundy was asked to vote for a discharge petition that would have forced a vote on car and restaurant carry rules fix legislation.

Lundy voted "No."

Two months later, when the House committee he sits on began hearings on a new version of the same legislation, Lundy appeared passionate in his opposition to the bill.

When it came time for the committee to vote, he introduced three poison pill amendments, including one to make the names of concealed handgun license holders public record.

While we wish to keep survey results confidential, we will never provide cover for a candidate who lies to get our support and win an election.

Whether a gun owner or not, you deserve honesty from candidates and elected officials on their positions.

If Matt Lundy lied about supporting the rights of gun owners in Ohio, what else has he lied about?

Buckeye Firearms Association is a grassroots political action committee (PAC) dedicated to defending and advancing the right of Ohio citizens to own and use firearms for all legal activities, including self-defense, hunting, competition, and recreation. We work to elect pro-gun candidates and lobby for pro-gun legislation.

Mayor Coleman Spins, Columbus, Ohio Feb 24, 2011

Columbus Dispatch Report

Mayor Michael Coleman spins the truth about guns - C & E Gun Shows

http://www.cegunshows.com/

In reaction to Mayor Michael Coleman’s showboating comments …"C&E, we are calling you out today. If you have a nickel of moral responsibility in your pocket, I ask you to spend it in Columbus. Require background checks on all privategun sales at your gun shows."

"C&E is the company that holds gun shows at Westland Mall," Coleman said. "Without the proper background checks, unlicensed private gun sellers will have the ability to sell to gangsters, criminals and drug pushers at the C&E gun shows.”…says Mayor Michael Coleman.

Mayor Michael Coleman is obviously speaking with great authority about something that he is very clearly ignorant about. Any fool that acts like he knows something when he doesn’t is aggravating, but a fool in a powerful political office is just dangerous.

He has evidently never set foot in a gun show. Of course, we run ethical and moral shows. There are families at the shows, police and ATF. Gun shows are great because of the huge selection and variety of guns and gun related accessories as well as experts on their use. They are safe, well lit with wide aisles and good concessions. That is why shows like the Westland Mall Gun Show attracts over 500 tables and 6,000 law abiding public average for a March Show.

Coleman sounds like another grandstanding politician unable to handle the communities crashing economy, budget, and soaring crime he lashes out at legal, legitimate businesses to deflect the blame from where it squarely lies on the politician’s doorstep. Mayor Coleman is like many anti-gunners grasping at straws, with ridiculous rhetoric like ‘we call you out.’

Gun Shows are a tiny source of Crime Guns.

Like all good yarns, this one has a thread of truth that is being overspun. All Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL’s) dealers do background checks and most of the exhibitors with guns are FFL’s. Gun shows account for 0.7% of guns used in crimes, less than 1%. We get our numbers from The Department of Justice, the foremost authority on criminal behavior.

See the study sited below. The gun control advocates, like the grandstanding Mayor of Columbus and his associate Mayor Michael Bloomberg, have to use phony statistics because the truth does not support their agenda. It is ridiculous that gun shows remain a giant target for antigun groups, antigun media and lazy politicians when 99.3% of the crime guns come from other sources. Criminals don’t get their guns at gun shows. There are always police officers and ATF at the show. They are there to assure the sales are legal and they do their jobs well.

But Mayor Coleman also called on state legislators to return to cities the power to enact gun legislation. The legislators just changed these laws and they are not going to give it back. He called on the promoters of a gun show regularly held at Westland Mall to make sure those who buy guns there go through a check to ensure that nothing in their background prohibits them from owning a gun.

Mayor Coleman calls on us to do what he cannot get legislators to do because it against the wishes of the people, his constituency. He wants us to bypass The Second Amendment, all the other laws and law enforcement and somehow do this on our own. It is not legal. If we wanted to, which we don’t, we couldn’t do it. We would get sued. He does not understand that the public does not wish to have big brother watching their purchase of every gun.

The people with good reason do not trust the government. Throughout history, governments who register guns always show up at some future time to confiscate the guns and then kill some large group of people. For a summary of why the people don’t trust thegovernment to register their guns or them as gun owners, read the ‘Why not register guns?’ on our website

(www.showmasters.com). It is under general information tab.

The Second Amendment was put in place by ourforefathers for many reasons. One is to protect us from the government making a list of every gun owner so that the government can confiscate the guns at some future time. History has proven this time and time again. Australia, Canada and England were all just disarmed. Entire nations of citizens turned into subjects.

The state needs consistent gun laws statewide. That is why legislators took cities, counties and municipalities out of the picture. The citizens can’t keep up with smaller government entities making inconsistent laws that endanger their freedom and security. City leaderships often take an anti-gun stance because of a narrow focus on lower-class male-on-male violence. Unable to determine how to effectively control these violent groups they turn their frustrations to guns. Gang wars and violence are the failure of enforcement tactics and the need for effective judicial processes. To state it simply, the criminals need much more severe punishment.

Mayor Coleman and Mayor Bloomberg – two peas in a pod

Let’s start with where Michael Coleman’s alliances, mindset and contributions lie. Mayor Coleman is a member of the Mayors Against Illegal Gun Coalition, a bi-partisan group with a stated goal of "making the public safer by getting illegal guns off the streets." The coalition is co-chaired by Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and New York City Mayor Bloomberg. We might add by going after law abiding citizens and their guns.

Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) is a coalition of mayors is an antigun group. Many antigun groups try to take small steps, a piece at a time, one law at a time to accomplish their real goal which is to outlaw civilian ownership of firearms in the United States by eroding the rights and the laws which protect us. Because they know they can’t get the main objective done all at once. It has happened recently in Canada, Australia and England, disarming entire nations, turning citizens into subjects and crime sky rocketing. MAIG was formed on April 25, 2006, during a summit held at Gracie Mansion that was hosted by Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who serve as Co-Chairs of the Coalition.

This left-wing group of anti-gun politicians is in direct opposition to The Constitutionand The Second Amendment that was created to protect citizens from corrupt politicians.

The Coalition is composed of mayors from both major political parties, the Progressive Party, and the Green Party and its statement of principles has received the endorsement of the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the National Conference of Black Mayors. The majority of members of Mayors Against Illegal Guns are Democrats.

Acknowledging an "unacceptable spike in homicides last year," Coleman outlined Columbus' efforts to maintain what he says is still one of the safest cities in the nation, including spending 70 percent of the city's operating budget on safetforces.

Columbus is in the bottom 2% of safe cities in the United States. Your chances of becoming a victim in Columbus are 1in 119. Obviously the problems are multi-faceted and multi-layered. You need more guns, not less in Columbus. The citizens of Columbus need to be able to defend themselves. The extra police are an excellent first step, but it has to be followed up with very severe punishment or criminals are just going to laugh on. Weak punishment endangers the police and the citizens that these predatory animals released back out on. In the City of Columbus, is it true that criminals using firearms are supposed to get the maximum sentence automatically but that is always removed from sentencing procedures first? The police need to be backed up the court systems. That comes back to officials, like Mayors, who set the tone for prosecution, sentencing and make appointments.

We call on Mayor Coleman to increase sentencing of criminals in the City. Columbus needs a tough savvy Mayor that understands the relationship between crime and punishment. This city needs a complete about face from Mayor Coleman. The city needs higher concealed carry rates. Everytime concealed carry rates go up crime goes down. Law abiding armed citizens able to defend themselves reduces crime rates drastically enough to be recorded in statistics.

The Nitty Gritty Facts

The attached study entitled "Firearm Use by Offenders" by the U.S. Department of Justice. The entire study is on our website (www.showmasters.us) under General Information tab. The 1997 study of over 200,000 inmates in State and Federal Prisons was done under the Clinton administration and the Janet Reno Department of Justice, no friends to the 2nd Amendment or gun shows. Gun shows account for 0.7% of guns used in crimes, less than 1%. An estimated 18% of State Prisoners and 15% of Federal prisoners reported using, carrying or possessing a firearm during the crime for which they were sentenced. The possession of firearms increased for violent criminals to 30% of State prisoners and 35% of Federal prisoners. This means that 70 to 65% used no gun at all during the commission of their violent crime. It is doubtful that if that 30 - 35% had not possessed a gun at the time, that it would have deterred them from committing the crime. It is not gun that causes the crime; the individual has something extremely wrong with his mind. The gun may enable the criminal to commit the crime easier but it is the same capacity of guns that enables law abiding citizens to protect themselves. The numbers are on gun owner’s side.

There is another great study which addresses many issues including inner city crime posted on our website, entitled “Armed Resistance to Crime.” After you read that one, for some light reading, start referring to the references at the end. It begins to show how serious and important gun ownership is to society. The study draws from FBI, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, many universities, State Police Departments, criminologists, Schools of Criminology and Criminal Justice Schools, U.S. Bureau of Census,

Gary Kleck’s study on Defensive Gun Uses (DGU), National Crime Statistics, National Crime Survey, as well as The Ohio Statistical Analysis Center, Ohio Citizen Attitudes Concerning Crime and Criminal Justice among many others.

There are 5,000 gun shows a year in the United States. People from all walks of life attend: 10,000,000 public annually. Gun shows provide a great value because of competition between vendors. There is great selection and prices on firearms, accessories, holsters, ammo, safes, training, knives, stun guns, tasers, hunting supplies, army surplus, etc. and competition between exhibitors creates the lowest prices available. All the guns are tied and nobody is trying to shoot at you like in the projects. One of the largest reasons anti-gun politicians target gun shows is The First Amendment. These are assemblies of large masses of pro-gun citizens. The First Amendment is the real threat to anti-gun politicians at gun shows. We network and pro-gun groups campaign to get rid of bad politicians that threaten our freedom and security.

Lazy politicians make laws that go after gun shows and law abiding citizens because it's easy. It makes it look like they are doing something to prevent crime when they are just pandering. And they are beginning to look really stupid to everyone. Criminals don’t get their guns at gun shows. Gun Shows are not a criminal friendly environment at all. Black market guns are a lot cheaper plus ours have those pesky serial numbers on them. There are dozens of police officers through every show, in uniform and plain clothes. They are good customers. How many guys need three different kinds of holsters? There are literally thousands of people around including law enforcement working and shopping at the shows. Former and present day law enforcement as well as many active duty and retired military participate asexhibitors and customers.

If Mayor Coleman wants to take a bite out of crime, longer sentencing for criminals would be an excellent start. The federal government knows it. That’s why they forced states to make prisoners serve 80% of their sentences or the federal government would cut funding to the state prisons. You don’t see Coleman talking about that, it would require him to roll up his sleeves and have to go to work. Among prisoners carrying a firearm during their crime, 40% of State inmates and 56% of Federal inmates received a sentence enhancement because of the firearm. For violent criminals carrying a gun during a violent crime, it should be a mandatory sentence increase. The longer criminals are in the prison, the longer society is protected. It’s much easier to say, it’s the gun shows fault we have so much crime.

The police assigned to the gun shows will tell you it is a cake job, most the time they are bored. I do think the vast majority of the police would prefer to be chasing the criminals and are true heroes. Just maybe we should look at the other 99.3% of crime gun sources, before we go making anymore useless, ineffective laws that do nothing to stop crime but create an enormous waste of limited law enforcement resources and funds.

Crime and Punishment

The harsher the punishment the lower the crime rates dip. It is a shame but usually liberal gun hating politicians are very lenient on criminals do not see the relationship between crime and punishment. These politicians have the power to appoint judges, lawyers and influence law making decisions that have great and horrible impacts on society.

Gun control fanatics want everyone to lay their guns down. They can force law abiding citizens to do so with aggressive laws, but the criminals never obey. Therefore these well-meaning gun control nuts endanger the law abiding descent citizens. They just can’t understand you can’t put the toothpaste back into the tube. The world is not all butterflies and rainbows. If they aren’t smart enough to understand criminal behavior they need to find another line of work, maybe the movies for Mayor Coleman considering his flair for theatrics.

The mental health infrastructure needs more money, meds, beds and physicians. There were huge federal budget cuts to the Mental Health under the Clinton Administration and the money was never restored. Not properly caring for the mentally ill is an egregious mistake. Allowing the mentally ill to prey on society is cruel to all parties involved. The mentally ill in this country are being mistreated and uncared for. A society should be judged by how it treats its poor and it’s mentally ill. Both the Virginia Tech and the Tulsa, Arizona massacres were obvious miscarries of treatment of the mentally ill and lands squarely on the mental health infrastructure’s mismanagement by our federal government and down through state and city levels. And society paid dearly for it. Our politicians are failing us miserably.

Isn’t there someone else out there that can get focused on fixing the problems of Columbus, like this huge budget mess. Someone who has some serious ideas about fixing crime instead of disarming law abiding citizens and causing harm to legitimate businesses deserves to be Mayor. Earl Smith is running for Mayor and has three decades of police experience and deserves a serious look. Everyone who is disgusted with Mayor Coleman needs to consider Earl Smith, put your money where your mouth is and donate to his campaign if you believe he is worthy.

As for Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the great city of New York, successive and pronounced cycles of gang violence have been documented in New York City, reaching back well over a century. Social historian Eric Schneider has chronicled the trajectory of the serious and widespread gang problem that plagued the city from the mid-1940s through the mid-1960s, during the transformation of the city’s economy from war production and manufacturing to financial and legal services, insurance, real estate development, and civil service jobs (Schneider 1999). African American and Puerto Rican families migrating into the city faced a highly racialized labor market that systematically excluded them from wellpaying job categories and racial segregation that shunted them into older housing stock located in the poorest neighborhoods. Adolescent peer groups formed within crowded city schools competed outside of school with hostile ethnic groups for recreational space along neighborhood borderlines. According to the Justice Policy Institute, gang wars and violence are the failure of enforcement tactics and the need for effective public safety strategies.

Please see the attached letter to Mayor Michael Bloomberg from the Justice Department. The letter is posted on our website at www.showmasters.us under the General Information tab, ‘Mayor Bloomberg warning letter from DOJ.’ This letter was just recently released and has never been out for public scrutiny. Why have law enforcement, ATF, the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office repeatedly told Mayor Bloomberg that all of the circumstances are not prosecutable. Not only have they told Bloomberg there is nothing to prosecute but they also told him in so many words to cease and desist his activities. How many times, by how many parties, does he need told? The letter is basically a cease and desist letter dating all the way back to 2007 when he pulled the same antics in Virginia. At that time, the

Virginia State Attorney General, Bob McDonald, drafted a law and sent it to Bloomberg with a nice cover letter that told him if he came back to the great state of Virginia with his circus act he would have him prosecuted. Bob McDonald is now Virginia’s Governor. Ohio’s Attorney General could do something similar and let Bloomberg go play in some other states. The fact that Mayor Bloomberg received this very strong rebuke stating to cease and desist and he has chosen to ignore it traveling even further into other states once Virginia threw him out seems he believes he is above the law and he can do anything he wants. Mayor Bloomberg seems to think he is right and the rest of the country is wrong!

What results, if any, has spending 2.5 million dollars of tax payer’s money had on crime rates in New York City? Why didn’t he spend his own money on this crusade to disarm the American public instead of New York City tax payer’s money? Is this correct appropriation of city tax money for the City of New York to spend it in other states for some antigun tirade? Why doesn’t some member of the media investigate misappropriation of city funds? Why doesn’t the City of New York adapt a concealed carry permit like the rest of the country? That is proven to lower crime rates. Bloomberg is passionate about disarming everyone else, but you don’t seem him getting rid of his armed guards.

We have heard from the experts, Mayor Bloomberg should follow their advice instead of running off on some bizarre antigun tactic. It seems like he is more interested in showboating and getting his name in the lime light. Such is life in the ivory tower with armed guards circling at the bottom looking down at your peasants.
